  1. Just to set the record straight, The vocals are by "Dorie Vincent", not "Gloria Vincent". I know, because that is my mother. She turned 88 the other day. Now I'd like to know if it's possible to get a copy of this recording (although I do have the part where she sings "When They Ask About You" -- I'd love to get ahold of "G.I. Jive"). Please contact me if you can; I'd really appreciate it (you can find my email and phone# on my site). Thanks again and thanks for the blog!

  2. Hi Chris, Many thanks for the info regarding your mother's name and her part in this album. Usually, had you been in the UK, I would send you the album to listen to, but because you are in the USA I wouldn't expect it to survive the journey. I've had a search online to see if anyone else has a copy nearer to you, but haven't come up with anything as yet. I'll let you know if I do.

    All the best

    Colin :-)
